Last updated 6 September 2026. This describes what we do. It is not a contract and it is not legal advice.
Who we are
Birdhouse is a UK business performance consultancy. The site is www.bird-house.io. Day to day it is run by Aneal Birdi, Founder and Principal, in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
The legal name that goes on an invoice is not printed here yet. When it is, it will sit in this paragraph and in the footer. Until then, write to aneal@bird-house.io.
What we collect
- If you book a call. Your name, email, and whatever you type into Calendly. The conversation is about your vision. It is not the paid MAP.
- If you email us. Whatever you send. We keep it so we can reply.
- If you tailor the site. One preference in your own browser: founder, scale-up, SME or enterprise. We do not send that to a tracker.
- If you sign in. Login, session, and the work you do in the House or client workspace.
- If you sit a MAP conversation. Your name, role, what you say, and any files you choose to share. That sitting is AI-conducted. The House reads it. Your colleagues do not see it. Leaders are later played the shape of the work, structure only, never your words or your name.
- House members. Name, seat, photograph, biography and records you have agreed to show.
We do not run Google Analytics, Meta pixels or heatmaps on this site. Do not add them later without changing this page.
Why we take it
- To answer you and to book the call. That is steps toward a contract, or legitimate interests in running a consultancy.
- To remember how you set the site up. Legitimate interests. The site works without it.
- To run MAP and to deliver the work, if we take you on. Contract with the client. Starting a sitting means you have been informed and you choose to begin. That is not the same as GDPR consent as the lawful basis, for staff sittings the client is normally the controller.
- To run the House. Contract with the member.
We will not sell your data. We will not use a sitting to train a public model.
Who else sees it
- Calendly. The diary. When you open Let’s talk, Calendly may set its own cookies. Their banner is allowed to show.
- The host, email and file store we use to run the site, send mail, and hold MAP files.
- The AI provider used to conduct a MAP sitting and to power House tools. Prompt and reply travel to that provider so the sitting can run.
- The House. Named seats on the engagement. Not the whole table by default.
Some of those sit outside the UK. We use them because the product cannot run without them. If that is not acceptable, do not book, and do not begin a sitting.
Cookies and your browser
We store two first-party preferences in local storage: company stage, and whether you have dismissed the tailor nudge. They are not advertising cookies. Clear your browser and they go.
The login uses a session cookie so you stay signed in. That cookie is necessary for the workspace.
Calendly is a third party. We do not hide its privacy banner.
How long we keep it
- Enquiry and booking: for the conversation and a sensible period after, then it goes.
- MAP sitting and files: for the engagement, then twelve months after the matter is closed, so we can support implementation and questions from the work. Then they are deleted, unless the contract or the law requires something different. A person can be purged. Invoices stay as long as UK law requires.
- House member profile: while they have a seat.
- Session: twelve hours, or until you sign out.
Your rights
You can ask to see what we hold, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to aneal@bird-house.io. Say what you want. We will not make you fill a form.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Check the current process at ico.org.uk. We will add our ICO registration number here when we have it.
MAP sittings
Begin means you have read this page and how we handle your data, and you choose to start. You can stop. You do not have to share a file. Nothing you say is shown to your colleagues. Your sitting is not used to train a public model.
Children
This is a business service. We do not take data from children on purpose. If we have, tell us and we delete it.
Complaints
If a claim on this site is wrong, or the work is wrong, write to aneal@bird-house.io. It comes to Aneal. Say what is wrong. We take a public claim down the same day while we look. We will not make you fill a form.
Change
If this page changes in a way that matters, we update the date at the top. The live page is the page that counts.
